Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian, who's been performing for quite a while. Born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. The comedian appeared on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh Sullivan (born on 16 March 1984) is also known as Aisling bea, is an Irish comedian, writer and actress. Bea's acting career started in the year 2011 as a comedian following her appearance in a few part in Irish and British TV shows that began in 2009. In 2012, she started to regularly appear on sitcoms and sketch shows. In 2012, after she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA), she started to appear frequently in panel programs. Between 2016 and 2017, she was a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats Team, as well as a participant in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. The parents of her include Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. In 2012 she was the second woman ever to win the So You Think You Are Funny award. Bea was awarded the award in memory of her father. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. She was the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan. Brian was a veterinarian for horses who took his own life when Bea was just three years old. She was not told what happened to him until she reached the age of 13 years old. As a way to honor her father, she adopted the stage name Bea and in 2017, wrote an article about suicides and deaths that affected her family for The Guardian. Bea was fostered by her older sister Sinead and her mother Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, and former professional racer. Her family were in love with horses and race meetings. As a young girl, Bea employed as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud however she realized at an early age that she wasn't interested in the racing industry as a job, and was a performer.
